DIAL is an information and advice helpline for disabled people and anybody with a problem connected to a disability issue. Our main office is based in Basildon but we cover the Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford and Thurrock areas of the county. DIAL's helpline is manned by a group of dedicated volunteers with a vast experience of the many problems facing disabled people. We can advise on a variety of issues faced by disabled people in their everyday lives from benefits to mobility and everything in-between. We are currently operating a new project in the Basildon district as detailed below so if you know anybody who may benefit from this please get in touch with us.
We now have a selection of new and second-hand disability equipment for sale at our shop in Basildon Town Centre. If you are looking for a wheelchair, walking stick, walking frame, commode or other small piece of equipment please check out our selection at very comparable prices. All money raised is used to help the advice service to continue to help the disabled people of the district. If you have equipment or goods that you no longer use or want then please consider donating them to DIAL knowing that they are going to a good cause. We can collect and deliver equipment within a 3 mile radius free of charge but a small charge will apply outside of this area for delivery.
