DIAL is an information and advice helpline for disabled people and anybody with a problem connected to a disability issue.
Due to lack of funds we are being forced to leave our premises in Basildon Town Centre and although at first we thought we would have to close completely we can now disclose information about our future. Please let anybody else know about this who might be interested or who may need to use our services now or in the future.
DIAL will close at its current premises in Basildon at 4pm on Friday 21st April 2017. The good news is that we are not closing down completely - we have managed to find alternative premises in Crown House in Grays, Thurrock. The service will be closed until Monday 15th May 2017 for the move and setting up in our new office, when we will reopen and offer a reduced service between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday. Initially we will only be able to see people in person by appointment but we will operate a telephone helpline (number to be confirmed), email and text service. Until our new line is up and running please use our mobile on 07786 088538 from the 15th May or if you need to contact the administration section. Our main number will not be answered after today. Thank you to everybody that has supported us over the years and we hope that we will be able to grow again and have a presence back in Basildon as well as expanding through the Thurrock area and building partnerships with the groups there.
We have also heard today that we have been shortlisted for the Skills and Opportunities Fund and we need people to vote for us in the hope that we can secure some funding.
