DIAL has a strong, dedicated group of fourteen committed volunteers that work between three to twelve hours per week. We are constantly trying to recruit volunteers as the numbers vary depending on the volunteers circumstances. This year has seen 5 volunteers gain paid employment thereby reducing the number of volunteers at DIAL. Many of our volunteers are long serving and an integral element of the organisation. Volunteers deal with the daily running of the helpline and advising clients on a one to one basis. Their current responsibilities include administration duties surrounding the helpline including writing up forms and entering information on to the computer database. Many also help with fundraising activities, from raffles and collections to events like John Barons Fun Walk. If you think you could help DIAL, either working on the helpline or helping to raise funds, please give us a call and we will arrange for you to pop in for a chat.
